As we end into the weekend, notice how every headline points to the need for a constitutional convention. Illinois’ system of government needs to be overhauled; Illinois citizens need to be empowered; Illinois needs a constitutional convention.
The Illinois Citizens’ Coalition is an Illinois Political Action Committee formed by Illinois citizens concerned about the downward spiral in Illinois’ political and financial condition. While the general goal of the Coalition is to inform and organize Illinois citizens to take more of an interest in their state, the immediate goal of the Coalition is to;

That doesn’t mean some one shouldn’t be talking about such issues. Article IV, Sec. 9(e) of the Illinois Constitution reads as follows;
