Daily Herald Article Shows Serious Problems in Illinois
This story adds to the case for a constitutional convention ; a serious re-examination of our state’s financial operation is in order. For one thing, Illinois already has a balanced budget clause, but has we read here it has to be strengthened. As we dive further and further into debt-nearly $108 billion already - we cannot afford to wait any longer before we stand back and fix our problems! A constitutional convention would provide the tools to check such political machinations as these and allow good government to operate.
